In the blackness I delve into the deep for a beam so bright,
Into where the cosmos gleam.
May I fix my gaze at You – my Moon?
‘Do you love to see me shine, as i do love your shimmer?’ I asked
She coyed away – ‘I am eaten half today, and the left over if you do dare to hold.’
I know you shall vanish in a fortnight leaving my space unlit.
Then again my sky shall conceive you in its womb for me to flirt.
Create a majestic you little by little. Shape the enchanting you.
And i shall fail again to fathom thee, As greedy soul shall only long to consume your divine halo.
Enigmatically fresh you rise each night,
While my eyes crave to snooze despite your light.
By the day your lightless timid self adores the sun in the blue,
And my busy terrestrial self ignores your presence all through.
