My career path as a journalist started in 2005 in India and continued until I gave birth to my son in December 2008.

I started my career as a freelancer in The Statesman, moving forward to dailies like Hindustan Times as a trainee and Times of India as special correspondent/copy editor. My journey as a journalist made me elaborate in every aspect of my life. It has made me fall in love for words that has the power to make the reader visualize every moment and incident that pass by as I perceive them.

In the year 2009 March, when I moved to Sultanate of Oman, I was a timid mother to a 3 month old. The five long hours in the flight with my son left me clueless about my job as a mother despite the caring attention of the crew.

I was yet to come out of my cocoon-self to handle the motherhood rollercoaster in a new land, when I got the offer to work for Ruznama Group as a copywriter in my new homeland. The journey continued with Oman Daily Observer as a writer and columnist and then with SABCO Media with the most adorable Editor Ashlee Staratt, who motivated me to continue with my excellent descriptive writing style. So, here I am!

2020 COVID state evolved me to a full-time at-home mom to a teen, with my life revolving around those tiny winy tantrums and bursts of loving emotions thrown upon.

My love for words began its journey in my teens. As I graduated and did my further studies, I perused myself falling in love with the intricacy of how words draw attention of million eyes, provoking a reason in as simple way as it could.

Back to writing again after a break of four long years I rightly believe myself when I say, “words are all about the feeling that lay within us and shaped by our brain and thereafter written or spoken. Much before it is shaped by our tongue; sometimes, words can hold a complex character— as complex as a woman’s anatomy.”
